Baptismal font of the Romanesque period. The basin is hemispherical with a band of incised interlaced circles around the the upper basin side; below this the basin widens and is decorated with broad pronounced ribs that reach all the way to the bottom of the underbowl; one iron staple is visible in the upper rim of the basin, the opposite side showing signs of damage, perhaps from the removal of the second staple. The base is a plain and crude cylindrical pedestal that rests directly on the ground. The fonts at nearby La Cuesta and Turegano are similar, not identical, and probably by the same artisan or workshop.
