Identified in Berggren (2002) as a baptismal font made of Gotlandic limestone [NB: Berggren notes earlier erroneous identifications of its material as granite]. The font, now in a fairly poor conservation shape is of the type consisting of a quatrefoiled basin decorated with a ribbed pattern, raised on a conical pedestal base with a thick roll moulding at centre ring position. The font has been restored but it shows details of not-too-fine a work, for instance in the unevenness of the ribs. There is no font cover present; the font is provided with a cast-iron (?) support to hold up the metal baptismal dish in use.
