Described in Drake (2002) as a limestone baptismal font, although later in the same work it is listed as a granite font; the basin is round; there is a roll-moulding decorating the top of the shaft/stem, and four heads, two which are ram's, just below it. Berggren (2002) identifies the material as Gotlandic limestone and notes earlier erroneous identification as granite [NB: Berggren's work on these fonts was based on a professional geological analysis of the stone and is therefore reliable in his identifications of the material of the fonts]. On-site notes: the font consists of a cylindrical basin with a plain chamfered underbowl; the sides of the basin are decorated with nine round arch-heads tending to horshe-shoe shape; no supports; the base block starts with a roll moulding with four heads at 90-degree angles: bear or king (east), hatted head or king (north), capped head or bishop (west), beast head or a devil's? (south) [NB: the identification is tentative, with the king and bishop heads being quite similar in shape. head dress, etc.]; the lower end of the base splays out; raised on a plain quadrangular lower base or plinth. There is no font cover, nor are there traces of cover hardware anywhere on the basin. The basin interior is not lined and has no drain, although it is possible that it may have had a central drain, later blocked..
