Rectangular monolithic baptismal font of large proportions, perhaps used for baptism by immersion. The only side that shows ornamentation is the front [east], one of the long sides, with a moulding at the upper rim and a number of symbols incised on the front surface: to the left, one up, one down, two 5-point stars with the connectors showing; in the centre a crozier in the shape of a potent Roman cross (the endings of the arms are triangular, as in a Maltese cross, rather than flat); on the right side a cross-shaped four-arm 8-point star (as with the 5-point stars on the left side, the diagonal connectors are also showing). The font is located at the back, against the west wall, where a former entranceway is now blocked. [cf. entry for Asieso No. 2 for an interesting holy-water stoup in this church]
