On-site notes: a large hemispherical basin made of limestone and decorated with ribbed pattern; it may be the old font from this church. At the time of our visit (8 June 1999) the basin of the font was part of a display of remains from the old church here, a make-shift lapidarium; the label placed near it reads: "Pila bautismal románica -- siglo XIII -- piedra caliza -- Sasamón" [=Romanesque baptismal font -- 13th century -- limestone -- Sasamón]. The basin was later [viewed in 2016] mounted on a modern base and moved to the interior of the church. [cf. Index entry for Sasamón No. 1 for a Gothic baptismal font decorated with scenes from the life of Christ in this same church]
