Described and illustrated in Le patrimoine des communes de la Mayenne (2002, v. 1: 265) as the marble basin of the baptismal font of the Église Notre-Dame-de-bonne-nouvelle, removed from the church during the Revolution and found during archaeological excavations. The object appears hemispherical and has the common internal division of French fonts of the 15th and later centuries: two opposed round wells with two smaller rectangular cavities in the spandrels formed by the larger wells; one of the wells would hold the baptismal water, while the second would received the water poured over the infant; the smaller cavities would hold the holy oils, etc. There is no mention or evidence of a base in this source; assumed lost.
