Font Notes:
Described and illustrated in the Catálogo Monumental de Navarra (1990?- , vol. II**: 565 and pl. 569) as a baptismal font of the mid-16th century, the work of Juan de Goyaz; the hemispherical basin has the common roll moulding followed down by a scotia around the upper part of the basin, while the sides of the basin and underbowl are covered in a ribbed pattern, an ornamentation characteristic of fonts of this period; this basin has an added motif superimposed on the above decoration: a muslin-like draping simulates hanging from broaches fixed on the scotia; the squat base is of the bulbous type and is decorated with foliage motif. Listed in Domeño (1992: 111).
