Baptismal font consisting of a hemispherical basin and a polygonal pedestal of which the upper 2/3 are octagonal but they fuse into a square shape in the lower 1/3. The basin is beautigully ornamented: there are two lion heads at opposite ends of upper basin side; the sides of the basin are carved with a triple-band of scalop motif, below which is a protruding band of lovely foliage motif shaped like horse-shoes; this band marks the beginning of the underbowl, itself decorated with large leaves with tips outwards. The carving work is very fine and regular in execution. [We are grateful to Dr. Brian Catlos for the images of this font]
