Holy-water stoup of the mid-17th century, the same period as the font in this church, but in a different style; the shallow hemispherical basin is decorated with a concave ribbed pattern all around the underbowl, and with a roll moulding at the upper rim; the base is a slender square pedestal with slightly larger volumes at top and bottom providing a stylised version of the capital-stem-base shape. The material of which the font and stoup is made is described locally as "toba calcárea". [We are grateful to Cosme Alvarez [www.nuevoportal.com] of Badajoz, Spain for the images of this font]
