Baptismal font of the mid-17th century; roughly cylindrical basin with rounded underbowl and upper rim "lip" on which are visible the two iron staples of the cover hardware; the base is a broad cylindrical pedestal ornamented with diagonal ribbed pattern between two horizontal roll mouldings, one at each end of the stem; the lower base has a roll moulding on a short square volume [some of the latter appears sunk in the present flooring]. The material of which the font and stoup is made is described locally as "toba calcárea". A portable ceramic baptismal basin with cover stands on the font at present [July 2003].
