Baptismal font in black stone and dated by an insctription to 1532, perhaps from the old cathedral, since the new one was consecrated in 1640, although other also un-corroborated sources describe it as possibly a vessel of Hindu origin re-used as baptismal font. It is claimes that this is the baptismal font used by St. Francis Xavier in his missionary work [to be completed]
