Church Notes: 14thC church
Described in the Catálogo Monumental de Navarra (1990?- , vol. IV*: 518); also in Domeño (1992: 174-175 and pl. 3) who has it as Romanesque baptismal font [NB: the church is dated to the 14th century, and the font could be that late but following design patterns of the Romanesque]; the hemispherical basin is ornamented with a low-relief arcade of round arches and is raised on a plain cylindrical pedestal base and a square lower base ornamented with ball motif. The font has a pyramidal wooden cover of modern date and of a type not uncommon in the area (e.g.: Olejua, Ugar, etc.).
