Described and illustrated in Bertelli (2002: 276 and pl. 271) as the baptismal font (sunken) in the centre of the baptistery at Agliate, adjunct to the Basilica of the saints Peter and Paul. The baptistery building is nine-sided, not a common occurrence, but the font itself is octagonal on the outside, with a round inner shape. There are frescoes still visible on the baptistery inner walls
