Described and illustrated in Bertelli (2002: 276 and pl. 271) as the baptismal font (sunken) in the centre of the baptistery at Agliate, adjunct to the Basilica of the saints Peter and Paul [SS. Pietro e Paolo di Agliate]. The baptistery building is nine-sided, not a common occurrence, but the font itself is octagonal on the outside, with a round inner basin shape. There are frescoes still visible on the baptistery inner walls.
