Font Notes:
Described in the Catálogo Monumental de Navarra (1990?- , vol. IV**: 521) and in Domeño (1992: 169): medieval baptismal font ofd a type common in Navarra [e.g.: Elcoaz, etc.], ornamented with horizontal mouldings and ball motif; the hemispherical basin is raised on a roughly cylindrical stem and a circular lower base. A plain flat wooden lid is visible in the ca. 1943 image source; in this same source the font shows a vertical crack right down the one side of basin and base.. The Enciclopedia del románico en Navarra (2008) notes a number of Romanesque basins of similar shape in Adoain, Aristu, Elcoaz, Jacoisti, Ayechu, Ongoz. Irurozqui, Arangozqui and Zabalza, in the same valley, and Azparren, Equiza, Uli Alto, Meoz and Igal in nearby areas.
