Described in the Catálogo Monumental de Navarra (1990?). Described and illustrated in Domeño (1992): medieval baptismal font (the CMdeN has it as Romanesque) now totally re-carved or drastically cleaned; hemispherical basin mounted on a cylindrical base and circular plinth, all plain, all re-carved (?). The flat plain wooden lid is modern. [cf. Index entry for Muniáin de Guesálaz No. 2 for a 16th-century holy-water stoup in this church]. Noted in the Enciclopedia del románico en Navarra (2008) as one of a series of plain medieval fonts in Navarra at Muniain de Guesalaz, Arroniz, Learza, Oteiza, Echavarri, Azuelo, Etayo, Ubago, Mues, Cabrega, Murieta, Piedramillera and Villamayor de Monjardin, in the Estella region, as well as those in the valleys of Oloriz, Garinoain and Muruzabal de Andion, as plain medieval fonts in the area. This same source notes that the stone is covered in grey paint and that there are crosses and stars inscribed in circles, but says nothing of a re-tooling
