Described and illustrated in the Catálogo Monumental de Navarra (1990?- , vol. IV**: 386) as a baptismal font dated to 1576, the work of the local mason Juan de Raufia [cf. Author notes below]; the basin is hemispherical with a protruding upper rim below which appear several mouldings and a band of short flutes; the rest of the basin sides an underbowl are decorated with a ribbed pattern; the inner well of the basin appears to have been altered, and something added to where the drain would have been, had there been one originally; the pedestal is round, with a roll moulding atop and tapering towards the lower base, which is also moulded, No cover present but there is evidence of metal plugs from an old cover in the upper rim.
