Font Notes:
Described in Domeño (1992: 157) as a medieval baptismal font originally from the parish church of San Esteban in Janáriz, now [ca. 1992] in the parish church of the Sagrado Corazón, in Pamplona. The font consists of a roughly hemispherical basin ornamented with a roll moulding at the upper rim and arris pattern all around the sides and underbowl; the base, apparently monolithic, is shaped into two volumes: the upper is hemispherical, with the narrow side up; the lower volume is quadrangular; at the place where the two join, a ball motif has been carved on each angle. The font appears topped with a flat plain woden cover in the ca. 1943 illustration from the Archivo Uranga.
