Described in Catalunya romànica (1984- , vol. XIX: 113-114) as the fragmentary remains [3 pieces] of a baptismal font from the old Romanesque church at Sant Sadurní de Castellví; it is known from a 1921 photograph by Josep Mas that the basin was quadrangular with rounded corners and not straight but ondulating sides, much in the general shape of the font at Sant Jaume dels Domenys; unlike the latter, however, the font at Castellví was ornamented with a roll moulding at the rim and a band of diamond tip around the upper basin side; the inside well of the basin was quadrangular with vertical sides and flat bottom, but had a circular recess at the bottom 22 cm in diameter and 6 in depth. According to Catalunya romànica (ibid.) this font was listed in the 1926 Trens' inventary of the bishpry of Barcelona; by 1962 Jaume Rafanell located four fragments of the font in the neighbourhood of the rectory -the font having been smashed between 1934 and 1936- only three of which remained at the time of the research of the Catalunya rom... volume ca. 1992. [NB: the introductory essay "L'escultura en piedra" by Llüisa Carabasa i Villanueva in vol. XIX of Catalunya romànica (ibid.: 75) describes this font as having a multi-lobed shape like the Romanesque one at Barcelona cathedral ["d'estructura lobulada similar a la de la pica baptismal romànica de la catedral de Barcelona"]
