Font Notes:
An illustration of the exterior of the church of Santa Maria de Queixigar / Cajigar, in Catalunya romànica (1984- , vol. XVI. :379), shows a bucket-shaped basin, probably medieval, now standing on a concrete (?) base on the esplanade behind the church, NE side; the basin may have had ornamentation of some sort but it appears now very eroded. [NB: a photograph of this same location in [http://www.lascuarre.net/catala/mapa/mapa.htm#Monesma shows the basin upside down on its base]. The entry for this church in Románico en Ribagorza: Inventario de las construcciones total o parcialmente de época románica de Ribagorza [https://romanicoribagorzano.wordpress.com/2013/06/28/monesma-y-cajigar-santa-maria-de-cajigar/] [accessed 1 June 2025] mentions three fonts in this church: one is the original font of this church, octagonal with striated pattern and dated to the 16th century is located in the southwest corner of the nave; the seconf font is hemispherical and plain, now used as holy-water stoup by the entrance, and originally from the church at nearby Iscles; the third font, located now in a north chapel, consists of a roughly-hemispherical basin decorated with a ribbed patterm, on a stem and lower base, also patterned, and it was originally in the nearby church of San Vicente de Treserra: "La iglesia contiene tres pilas bautismales. La originaria de la iglesia de estilo renacentista, fechada a finales del XVI, octogonal y estriada, está colocada en el ángulo sudoeste de la iglesia [...] Otra semiesférica, sin decoración, a la derecha de la puerta de entrada, se usa como pila de agua bendita y procede de la iglesia de Iscles [...] Y por último, una gallonada y con grueso reborde, procedente de San Vicente de Treserra, situada en la capilla norte."
