Font Notes:
Celina Llarás Usón, in her introductory essay on "L'escultura monumental" of the Pallars region, in Catalunya romànica (1984- , vol. XV: 99) refers to a baptismal font at Sant Esteve d'Abella as one of thirteen studied in this volume, but no entry for the font is found in the monographic entry for Abella de la Conca. The font, as seen in a 1920 photograph by Josep Salvany now in the Biblioteca de Catalunya [http://mdc.cbuc.cat/cdm/singleitem/collection/bcsalvany/id/6121/rec/65] [accessed 1 June 2013], consists of a cylindrical basin deeply carved with human figures, a coarse work. [NB: no font mentioned in www.romanicat.net [accessed 1 June 2013]]
