Font Notes:
Described and illustrated in Catalunya romànica (1984- , vol. XV: 140-141) as one of three medieval baptismal objects in this church. Described in Cabestany, Matas & Palau (2005) with date in the late 12th or early 13th century. This baptismal font consists of a decorated hemispherical basin and a plain cylindrical base. The large basin is half-built into the wall, which leaves only about 2/3 of its surface visible; this is ornamented with a pair of large birds facing what appears to be a plant or tree, although the source above suggests the possibility that it could be a jet of water, and mentions some resemblance of this motif with another on one of the fonts at Sorpe, located in the same general area.
