Church Notes: original church 11thC; remodelled 16th-17thC -- A 14thC Gothic Madonna in local alabaster from this church was moved to the Museu d'Art de Girona
Described and illustrated in Catalunya romànica (1984- , vol. IV: 240) as a stone baptismal font probably of the late 11th or early 12th century; the basin is roughly hemispherical and plain and shows at least one iron staple from the old cover in the upper rim; the stem of the base is short and round; the lower base or plinth is quadrangular [square?]. The same source points out two more such fonts at the Museu Episcopal de Vic. Noted and illustrated in La Garrotxa (2005). Noted in the Direcció General del Patrimoni Cultural de la Generalitat de Catalunya [http://patmapa.gencat.cat/web/guest/patrimoni/arquitectura?articleId=HTTP://GAUDI_ELEMENTARQUITECTONIC_9922] [accessed 9 July 2016]: "Antiga església parroquial construïda al segle XI i que, a l'acabament del segle XVI o començament del segle XVII, passà a convertir-se en sufragània de Sant Pere de Lligordà. Ve documentalment citada l'any 1085 a l'acta de consagració del temple del Sant Sepulcre situat dins la seva jurisdicció eclesiàstica. [...] Es conserva una pica baptismal d'època romànica, d'immersió. Està situada al costat dret de l'única nau de que disposa el temple; no té cap mena de decoració i fa 74 centímetres de diàmetre i 72 centímetres d'alçada"
