Described and illustrated in Cataluyna romànica (1984- , vol. XV: 241) as a crudely rendered baptismal font probably of the medieval period; the hemispherical basin is partly covered in a pattern of nested chevrons which the source identifies as a water symbol; to the sides of this pattern are a Greek cross and a human figure with arms extended horizontally; there is no discernible ornamentation on the side of the basin that faces north. The quadrangular base has crudely rendered human figures of which only the faces and strong arms appear visible [NB: we could not find any photographic evidence of these carvings], probably meant to be atlantes. Described in the Gran Geografia Comarcal de Catalunya (1995, v. 12: 106) as an ancient stone baptismal font ornamented with figures and archaic motifs. Noted in Cabestany, Matas & Palau (2005) as a baptismal font attributable to a local rural workshop of the late 12th century. A crude wooden lid, plain and flat, covers the basin. The north side of the basin has a large quadrangular notch cut into it, towards the upper rim side; it would have accommodated a side lock for an early cover.
