Described and illustrated in Catalunya romànica (1984- , vol. XV: 238). Described in the Gran Geografia Comarcal de Catalunya (1995, v. 12: 106) as an ancient stone baptismal font ornamented with reliefs. The font is a composite of parts from obviously different periods: the basin is of the shape and decoration common to this area: it is roughly hemispheric in shape, its ornamentation almost identical to the basin at the nearby church of Sant Serni de Cerbi, a row of encircled 6-petal floral motifs sandwiched between two roll mouldings all around the basin sides [NB: these motifs are larger than the ones at Cerbi and fewer in number, and the flowers have petals in the vertical axis, whereas the ones at Cerbi do not; the two elements of the base, quadrangular and of a later date, one of which carved with large Greek crosses, do not constitute the original base of this font, nor does the plain flat wooden cover on it, a modern addition. Noted in Cabestany, Matas & Palau (2005) as a baptismal font attributable to a local rural workshop of the late 12th or early 13th century, and sharing some similarities with the font at nearby Cerbi.
