Celina Llarás Usón, in Catalunya romànica (1984- , vol. XV: 99) describes this font as being ornamented with motifs drawn from the Romanesque ["té uns motius sculpits allunyats del romànic"]. Described in the Gran Geografia Comarcal de Catalunya (1995, v. 12: 57) as a baptismal font ornamented with popular motifs and crude Gothic arches. The font appears to be monolithic, a round tapering basin carved all around, and a plain almost conical [inverted] underbowl and base; there is large protruding head on the basin, the exagerated features in the guise of a traditional medieval rendering of a Negro or Arab; the spaces immediately to the left and right have a number of carvings that are hard to read (on the right perhaps a demi-figure holding a candle; on the left, a cross?]; to both sides of these runs an arcade of trefoiled arches; three arches on the left appears to be inter-related and contain a child baptism scene, with the child in a font in the centre arch; the bearded priest(?) pours water from a round vessel onto the child(?) who stands inside a pedestal chalice-shaped font; the figure in the right arch holds a large staff or candle; some of the spandrels of the arcade have human heads, other, floral motifs; to te right of the large head, perhaps a demi-figure holding up a candle? above this is a small pattern of tracery that appears to mold into the trafoiled arch to the right; this arch is badly eroded or hacked off, but there appears to be contour of a human figure, perhaps haloed, in it; in the next arch to the right is an enthroned woman holding an infant, quite likely meant to be the Madonna and Child; she appears to be holing up an object in her right hand, the infant in her lap; in the upper right corner a star; another human figure stands in he arch to the right [NB: unfortunately the back (?) of the font is against the wall, which makes the identification of that area difficult]. There is drain hole in the inner basin, which is otherwise plain. No font cover present.
