The baptismal font is one of the vestiges left of the late 12th or 13th century church; the font, now located in the first traverse of the left nave, still bears a Tau cross, a Medici coat of arms and a Latin inscription related to the cleansing power of the waters of the font ["si possono ancora trovare i resti del fonte battesimale ricollocato nella prima campata della navata di sinistra; vi si notano il simbolo del Tau, lo stemma mediceo e la seguente scritta in latino qui tradotta: "il fonte delle acque della vita, nelle quali si rinnova la santità originale, perduta per essersi cibati della mela del peccato"] [source: http://www.toscanainsolita.it/local/ploc2.php3?epid=27]
