Font Notes:
Described in the Catálogo Monumental de Navarra (1990?-) as a baptismal font of the Romanesque period; the large hemispherical basin is ornamented with ribbed pattern; at the upper rim it has a rope moulding; on the upper basin side runs a band of rosettes and stars [Domeño (1992) describes them as wheels, which, rightly, they could be] inscribed in octagons. Described in Domeño (1992) much in the same terms, but points out that the two elements of the base are modern. Illustrated in the Gran Enciclopedia Navarra (1990). The Enciclopedia del románico en Navarra (2008) [https://www.romanicodigital.com/sites/default/files/pdfs/files/navarra_UBANI.pdf] [accessed 25 May 2025] notes that one of the circles, the one at the front of thje basin side, inscribes actually a little cross symbol; this same source remarks on the continuing use of this type of inscribed motif in Navarrese fonts in the medieval period up to and including the 17th century: "en un nicho abierto en el muro norte
