A baptismal font donated by cardinal Antonio Maria Gallo when, during his August 22, 1592, found out that the church did not have one ["La seconda visita alla chiesa avvenne il 22 Agosto 1592 e fu compiuta dal Cardinale Antonio Maria Gallo. In tale circostanza il Cardinale si meravigliò che non ci fosse nella chiesa il Fonte Battesimale, per cui provvide a sue spese a colmare la grave lacuna."] NB: it is not clear whether the lack of font was due to never having had one or to having lost the previous one [source: http://www.comune.osimo.an.it/eventi/marincioni/testo.htm]. This same source informs that the font, which was originali located at the west end of the church, on the left side, was later moved to a niche to the right of the main altar; in 1970 it was moved to the left chapel which had housed an altar, after a trnsformation of the space there; in 1981it was removed and the altar reinstated and dedicated to S. Biagio [not clear in the source where to the font was removed]
