Described and illustrated in the Catálogo Monumental de Navarra (1990?-, vol. II**: 131 and pl. 143) and in Domeño (1992: 80-82, 182 and pl. 105-107); medieval baptismal font with an iconographic program quite similar to the one at Eguiarreta, also in Navarra; the basin sides are ornamented with an arcade of eight round arches, each with a figure in it: 1)horn player; 2)drum or tambourine player; 3)woman and child; 4)human figure carrying palmette-shaped object; 5)human figure with raised hand -- dancer?; 6)human figure with arm(s) akimbo -- dancer?; 7)human figure armed with sword, left hand on the waist; 8)human figure armed with a spear. Domeño (ibid.) suggests the program may be a celebration of a baptism [="celebración festiva relacionada con el Bautismo"], an explanation repeated by Bilbao (1996: 246 fn375). The base is a plain cylindrical pedestal with a large roll moulding at the top and a s square lower base/plinth decorated with a ball at each corner. Noted in Plazaola Artola (2008?).
