Described in Pérez Carmona (1959 and its reprint in 1974) although the font had already disappeared by the first date. Bilbao (1996) reports a local witness' evidence -Alejandro Orive Salazar, former parish priest of Torme- how the baptismal font at Torme had been sold for the sum of 6,000 pesetas under the supervision of the then archbishop of the diocese, Luciano Pérez Platero between 1954 and 1956. [NB: Bilbao mentions this font in the context of the analysis of the representation of the Apostles on baptismal fonts; it is not explicitly reported that the font at Torme included such iconography]. The Enciclopedia del románico en Castilla y León (2002- ) reports that no trace was found at the time of the visit of the 12th-century font decorated with scenes of the story of St. Martin [NB: the latter is a quoted text probably from an earlier source [Julián García Sánchez de Baranda or José Pérez Carmona?].
