A baptismal font of rather unusual shape: it is a wide cylimdrical basin with eoight (?) vertical mouldings all around its exterior; the lower part of the basin is chamferred drastically and "tied" with large rope moulding, somewhat similar to the beautiful marble font at Perpignan, in the Pyrénées-Orientales dept. of France [cf. Index entry for Perpignan No. 1]. The base is a plain cylindrical pedestal. [We are grateful to Giorgio Zanetti, of Toronto, Canada, for bringing this font to our attention, and to Luca Giordani, of Bologna, Italy [www.studiogiove.org], for his image of the same]
