Listed in Martín González (1970: 82) as a stone baptismal font ornamented with ribbed pattern. Described in the municipal web site [www.bahabondeesgueva.es/lugares-de-interes/iglesia-parroquial-de-nuestra-senora-de-la-asuncion] [accessed 23 December 2020]: "pila bautismal de estilo románico que se ubica en el baptisterio. Se ornamenta con los clásicos zarcillos que la rematan y por sus características se puede datar en la segunda mitad del siglo XII como muchas otras del entorno." [NB: the description in Martín González [cf. supra] does not match the 2020 photographic source we have for this church [cf. ImagesArea]; the font visible in our photographs, located at the east end of the north aisle consists of a round tapering basin decorated only with a pair of parallel grooves just below the upper rim, raised on a moulded square pedestal base -- are there two fonts in this church?]
