Described and illustrated in Catalunya romànica (1984- , vol. XX: 25) as a holy-water stoup made of white marble and dated to the 6th-7th century. Described in Art romà... (1999: 244) as a former Byzantine capital recycled as holy-water stoup; wall-mounted by the sacristy door, on the S side; it is ornamented anagrams inscribed in circles. This same source speculates that it may have been taken from Constantinople to Barcelona -via Sicily- during the 4th Crusade in the 13th century [cf. Index entry for Barcelona No. 13 for another stoup, and Barcelona No. 14 for the baptismal font of this church]
