Noted with an illustration in Romero Quiroz (1967): baptismal font notable for having a toponymic hieroglyphic similar to the one on the façade at Tenayuca, the pre-Hispanic town which after the conquest of Mexico contributed to the foundation of Tlalnepantla [="Esta pila bautismal es valiosa porque tiene el jeroglífico toponímico de Tenayuca, la ciudad prehispánica que después de la conquista de México contribuyó a la fundación de Tlanepantla"]. The Tlalnepantla government web page [www.tlalnepantla.gob.mex] mentions the similarity with the Tenayuca hieroglyphic [cf. supra] and adds that it includes the dating "7 calli", which in the Toltec calendar corresponds to the year 1554. The first of two stone baptismal fonts of the 16th century kept in this church; they are the work of local artisans in the "tequitqui" style [according to www.jornada.unam.mx]. [NB: an unconfirmed source mentions that this object was originally an Aztec sacred vessel used for human sacrifices, an unlikely claim given its shape]
