Described in the Catálogo Monumental de Navarra (1990?, V**: 103): baptismal font of the early Gothic period, the 13th century, date of the original church; it consists of a large hemispheric basin crudely ornamented on the outside with ribbed pattern; it is now [March 2003] painted a gastly combination of reddish and dark-cherry colours. The base appears to be a capital or such piece re-used as base, although, with the thick coat of paint on the basin, it is difficult to tell whether or not both pieces are of the same type of stone. The flat wooden cover appears modern. [We are grateful to Javier Torrens, of Pamplona, Spain, for the images of this font] [cf. Index entry for Lete No. 2 for a 17th century holy-water stoup in this same church]
