Noted and illustrated in Sáenz Rodríguez (2004) as a baptismal font of the Romanesque period from the Sierra de Cameros workshop, with suggested date in the mid-12th century. Sáenz Rodríguez (ibid.) identifies some of the figures on the base: human figure walking; human figure full front; two balls; a dog folllowing a shepherd with a staff on his shoulder; human on horseback; two humans engaged in fight or play; four balls. Described and illustrated in the Enciclopedia del románico en La Rioja (2008), with date to the mid 12th century; the basin is cylindrical with a rounded underbowl; on the sides is a shallow arcade of eighteen round arches, sixteen of them blank, the other two include a human figure and a potent cross; the short base is round and broad, with a roll moulding at the top; below it are human figures and ball motifs; stands on a round plinth. The wooden cover is flat and round; it has a pass-through security bar that locks in the two staples on the upper rim.
