A baptismal font in the parish church of Santa María de la Torre, Jarandilla de la Vera, claimed to be of the Visigothic period is noted in Ayuntamiento de Jarandilla de la Vera [https://www.jarandilladelavera.es/historia] [accessed 11 December 2023] ["Del periodo visigodo apenas quedan pocos restos, siendo lo más destacado la pila bautismal que se guarda en la iglesia de Santa María de la Torre"]. Baptismal font made of granite and said to be of the Visigothic period [although it is more likely to be from the 11th century at the earliest]; it consists of a roughly-cylindrical basin mounted on a plain pedestal; the basin sides are ornamented with a pattern of motifs, too crude to identify with any certainty, as well as a clearly rendered swastika. Illustrated in Ciganovic (1968), with a plain cover on the basin. [NB: no entry found in the Enciclopedia del romanico (11 Dec 2023)]
