Described and illustrated in Catalunya romànica (1984- , vol. VI: 457): Romanesque baptismal font made of granite in the first half of the 12th century; the large basin is roughly hemispherical; the upper half has a pattern of round arche withou columns; in the arches, towards the lower part of the basin side, a crudely-rendered cross [some Latin, some Greek] in each. This source informs that a 1939 photograph now in the Archiu Mas of Barcelona shows the basin outside the church; the 1989 renovations could have brought the font inside and restored it to its proper use; instead, the basin was installed as a water fountain in the village square! Catalunya rom... (ibid.) mentions a font in the Museu Episcopal de Vic (inventory # 9771) as cognate. Noted in Garcia (2011) with a cognate font at St Julia i Sant Germa. Recent photographs [2008+] and Garcia (2011) show the font inside the church again. There are odd perforations around the inner upper rim and it appears the font has been used as a fountain.
