Listed in Bilbao (1996) as one of several Rioja fonts ornamented with vines. Described in López de Silanes Valgañón (2000), who dates it to the end of the 12th century. Described and illustrated in Sáenz Rodríguez (2004) and in the Enciclopedia del románico en La Rioja (2008) as a baptismal font probably of the late-12th or early-13th century. Hemispherical mounted Romanesque baptismal font dated to the late 12th or early 13th century; the inside of the basin is patterned with concave ribs [16?]; on the outside the upper side has a large acanthus vine all around; below it, all the way down the underbowl, an arcade of round intersecting arches; one of the metal staples of the old cover is still evident on the rim; at the opposite side a damaged part bears witness to the removal of the other staple of the lock. The short culindrical base appears plain. The font is very regular and the ornamentation on it appears the work of a skilled hand.
