Font Notes:
Described and illustrated by Vázquez de Parga (1954: 45-46 and pl. XXVII-i) as a Visigothic object ["pila"] made of marble and dated by the scrolls on the bottom of the inside well to the late 7th century; the object -it is not described as having been identified with or assigned a liturgical function- is shaped like a prism-shaped casket, the upper part wider that the lower; the bottom of the inside well is decorated with a 6-petal flower in a circle, as well as two large scrolls, one at each side of the central motif. It is listed without origin among the acquisitions made by the Museo Arqueológico Nacional (Madrid, Spain) in 1954.
