Described in Le Patrimoine des communes de la Vienne (2002, v. 2: 760) as a piece of sculpture, perhaps of the 8th century, believed to be originally from a baptistery or an ambon; the subject of the piece is a deer grazing on a tree of stylised leaves, a common baptismal symbol [Flohic ref.: 86200627]
