A large capital of imperial Rome origin which was later (11th century?) re-cycled as baptismal font; it is decorated with foliage motif [source: www.comune.piacenza.it -- a partial view of the font appears in Il Mediterraneo e l'arte nel Medioevo (Milano: Jaca, 2000): 105]. This locality has a baptistery building dated to 1008.
