Described and illustrated in Le Patrimoine des communes de la Vienne (2002, v.1: 64) as a holy-water stoup of the 13th century made of limestone; the sides of the cylindrical basin are ornamented with ribbed pattern all the way to the rim, giving it thus the appearance of a poly-lobulated basin; the underbowl is plain and roughly hemispherical; the pedestal base appears quadrangular at the bottom and rounded towards the top (this may be the effect of the rounded sides). This source notes the unusual placement of the stoup on the Epistle (north) side of the nave [Flohic ref. no.: 86020415]
