Described and illustrated in Uranga & Iñiguez (1973, vol. 5: 259 and pl. 369) who describe it as Romanesque; also in Domeño (1992: 67-68 and pl. 77, 78) and in the Catálogo Monumental de Navarra (1990?- , vol. III: 163]. Medieval baptismal font later used as holy-water stoup; the basin is roughly bucket-shaped and is ornamented with an arcade of round arches all around the sides (only every other arch ends in a columnar support); the space under each double arch is occupied by a number of motifs: a Latin pattée cross, a number of animals, etc. the lower part of the basin has a band of scallop motif below which is roll moulding; the base is a plain pedestal which may or, more likely, may not be the original support. Domeño (ibid.) mentions that a similar one exists in nearby Artariáin [cf. Index entry for Artariáin No. 2] -- [cf. Index entry for Olleta No. 1 for the other baptismal font in this same church]
