There are five entries for Ixworth in the Domesday survey [http://opendomesday.org/place/TL9370/ixworth/] [accessed 8 October 2017], one of which reports a church and 0.66 church lands in it. No font mentioned in Parker's 1855 entry for this church. Illustrated in Simon Knott [www.suffolkchurches.co.uk] as an octagonal baptismal font ornamented with Ogee arches and buttresses; it appears mobolithic, the volumes of the basin and base marked by a moulding about one third down; the arcade of the base has cinquefouiled arches, each containing what appears to be a shield in it. Tallish pyramidal octagonal cover, probably Victorian. Both font and cover appear to be in good repair.
