Described and illustrated in the Patrimoine des communes... l'Essonne (2002, v. 2: 647) as a medieval oval mounted baptismal font; the font appears roughly oval, with pointed ends, and with very plain ornamentation: just a moulding at top and another at the bottom of the besin; the base retains the same shape but is a little narrower [Flohic ref.: 91220905]. [NB: the same source, v. 2: 643, describes a font in Champmotteux as being similar to the one at nearby Brouy, but ornamented with incised crosses -- this font does not seem to match that description -- to be resolved]
