Described and illustrated in the Patrimoine des communes... l'Essonne (2002, v. 2: 644) as a tub-shaped baptismal font of the 12th century; the sides of the cylindrical font are covered in two rows of round arches, one above the other, like a Lombardic arrangement. The font shows considerable damage, especially to the upper rim area, and the outer surface shows humidity and/or fungal problems [Flohic ref.: 91220804]. Listed in Palissy [re.: PM91000085]: "Fonts baptismaux [...] 12e siècle [...] Nef, au fond à gauche". Illustrated in Mémoire [ref.: AP91W00217, AP91W01748]. Illustrated in a 16 September 2007 digital photograph by Marc Séjourné [https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Chalou_Eglise_Fonds_baptismaux.jpg] [accessed 18 May 2025]. An 18th-century holy-water stoup mounted on a pillar of the nave is listed in Palissy [ref.: PM91001177].
