Described and illustrated in the Patrimoine des communes... l'Essonne (2002, v. 2: 604) as a baptismal font of the 17th century; the hemispherical basin has a narrow band of stylised rope motif at the upper side, just under the rim; the pattern breaks in four ?) places where rosettes are intercalated; the sides and underbowl are ornamented with very broad ribbed pattern, but the front has an ornated shield bearing a coat-of-arms that appears to include an anchor and a rampant animal. The short cylindrical pedestal base is ornamented with vertical mouldings. The wooden cover has two doors hinged at opposite ends and provided with fleur-de-lys metal handles; these doors open to give access to the double-basin well [Flohic ref.: 91210608]
