Font Notes:
Illustrated in the Patrimoine des communes... l'Essonne (2002, v. 1: 458) as a hemispheric mounted baptismal font located in the oldest part of the present church, la chapelle de la Vierge, just inside what is described in the source as the original door. The font is not described in the source but appears to be a late-Gothic hemispherical basin with a protruding upper rim below which runs a garland all around; the rest of the basin sides and underbowl are covered in ribbed pattern. The wooden (?) cover appears to be modern, and is hinged in the middle. The base is a plain pedestal. The chapelle itself is dated to the 12th century but the font is definitely of a much later date.
