Described and illustrated in the Patrimoine des communes... l'Essonne (2002, v. 1: 205) as a ploygonal mounted holy-water stoup of the 16th century; the basin is ornamented with a deeply carved garland all around; below it, two roll mouldings; the pedestal of the base is octagonal-to-square with ornamentation (ball?) at the angles of the lower section. The same source reports traces of paint still visible on the base. There is visible damage on at least one of the sides of the basin, towards the top [Flohic ref.: 91080106]. The stoup is listed in Palissy [ref.: PM91000021]: "Bénitier [...] 16e siècle [...] H = 87 ; d = 68 [...] Récipient de forme octogonale, pied à socle carré. A remarquer, l'écusson du milieu, qui est placé la pointe en haut et porte un sablier [...] Porte ouest, à côté." Illustrated in Mémoire [ref.: AP91W02586, AP12R084718]. The baptismal font here is dated 18th-century in Palissy [ref.: PM91001411] and illustrated in Mémoire [ref: AP91W01430], therefore not listed in BSI on account of its late date [NB: we have no information on the font of the 12th-13th century church here].
